In 2019, the Netherlands will focus on Rembrandt and the Golden Age. The reason for this is the 350th anniversary of the death of the most famous Dutch Master on October 4, 2019. The Hague as the center of administrative power played an important role in that period, witnessed by the many masterpieces in the museums, the influential inhabitants and famous locations. Experience The Hague in the time of Rembrandt & the Golden Age. Throughout the year there are numerous activities including special exhibitions at Het Mauritshuis, The Hague Historical Museum and Museum Bredius. Famous places in the city with special stories revive the Golden Age.
